The Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) Conference is a grassroots process that allows members of the community the opportunity to raise issues that affect and impact their quality of life. AFAP issues from the field provide a snapshot of the well-being concerns of Soldiers and families. AFAP improves standards of living for Soldiers, families, all military personnel and DoD employees. To submit your issue statement, simply click on the "AFAP ONLINE Issue Submission" on the right side of this page.
Fort Leonard Wood conducts an AFAP Conference annually. The purpose of the conference is to draw together representation of America's Army in an atmosphere of education and decision making. As AFAP delegates, volunteers are assigned to participate in Focus Groups during the conference, brainstorming issues and considering issues submitted by the community. Each Focus Group will prioritize three issues to be out-briefed to the Garrison Commander. All issues prioritized during the Conference will be forwarded to either TRADOC or FORSCOM Command. The Army Family Action Plan is truly your chance to let your voice be heard! Individuals interested in becoming a part of the AFAP experience by service as a delegate should contact the Fort Leonard Wood AFAP Program Coordinator at (596) 573-0212 or e-mail debra.a.griffin@us.army.mil.
