The Financial Readiness Program offers counseling and training for Soldiers and their families and ensures emergency assistance is available when needed. The misson of FRP is to reduce indebtedness, minimize the need for emergency financial assistance and prevent financial difficulties before they arise. Services include classes on money management, credit, financial planning, insurance and consumer issues. We help Soldiers and Army Families live within their means and provide for a brighter financial future.

Classes are offered on a wide variety of topics and may be taught at ACS, units or other locations.
Mandatory classes are provided monthly, classes cover a variety of consumer and financial issues. Schedule a class for your unit, FRG or organization, at least two weeks in advance.

| Bank Account Management Classes |

Class offers basic skills needed to maintain a checkbook as well as a letter to Unit commanders for those who successfully complete the checkbook test (if seeking reinstatement of check cashing privileges). Class is open to all military members, their families, and civilian employees and is held in bldg. 486, check-in in room 1126 for class room number, 1230-1330 every 1st Tuesday of each month. Class offers basic skills for creating and modifying a personal budget as well as a letter to Unit commanders for those who successfully complete the class (if commander requests proof of attendance). Class is open to all military members, their families, and civilian employees and is held in bldg. 486. Check in at room 1126 for class room number. Class is offered from 1130 to 1230, on the 1st Tuesday of the month. For more information or to sign-up for a class call 596-0212.

Class informs consumers about the many aspects of car buying. Attend this class before you purchase so that you do not get trapped by the pitfalls of car buying. Learn how to estimate your trade-in value, look at costs, determine if you should buy new or used, learn about negotiating, determine what options to obtain a vehicle inspection checklist. Class is open to all military members, their families, and civilian employees and is held in bldg. 486. Check in with reception desk for the class room number.
