A 'ready' Soldier is fully prepared for the mission. A 'ready' family is fully prepared for all aspects of Army life, including deployments and homecomings, typically referred to as 'redeployments.' Just as a Soldier's readiness often hinges on his or her family's aptitude, attitude and well being, a family's readiness hinges on their expectations and education prior to the deployment.
The Mobilization and Deployment Readiness Program mission is to develop an adaptable community in which Soldiers and their families are prepared for deployment, have access to the support they need throughout its course, and are prepared for the unique challenges they face when their Soldier returns.
- Mobilization & Deployment (Mob/Dep) provides family support for active duty and reserve families who are facing military separation due to deployment. Mob/Dep provides training and coordination on a variety of subjects in accordance with the Deployment Cycle Support Directive and Operation READY.

Family readiness is the preparedness and resilience of Army families to successfully adapt to the transitions required by the military lifestyle. Family member readiness is also an important part of Soldier readiness for mission.
The Family Readiness Group (FRG) is an officially command-sponsored organization of family members, volunteers, and Soldiers belonging to a unit, that together provide an avenue of mutual support and assistance, and a network of communications among the family members, the chain of command, and community resources. FRGs help create a climate of mutual support within the unit and community. Basic FRG goals include supporting the military mission through provision of support, outreach, and information to family members. FRGs play an integral part in the Family and Soldier Readiness System (FSRS).
FRG training is held the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 0900-1500 at ACS, Bldg 486. For more information or to reregister, please call 573 596-0212 ans ask for Mob/Dep
The Mobilization and Deployment Readiness Program has a variety of educational materials to help families understand and cope with the military lifestyle.
