Services:
Prevention education
services are available to educate the military and civilian community
about alcohol and drug abuse related problems. This is accomplished
through unit trainings, certification of Unit Prevention Leaders and
consultation with commanders regarding substance abuse issues.
Substance Abuse
rehabilitation/treatment of substance user is provided by the GLWACH
Counseling Center. The major elements are 1) identification and
referral, 2) screening and evaluation, and 3) treatment and follow-up
services.
Biochemical
Testing Program provides substance abuse deterrence and the early
identification of substance abusers. Personnel identified as substance
abusers through urinalysis are provided with appropriate treatment and
rehabilitation counseling.
Employee Assistance
Program (EAP) provides screening and referral support to civilian
employees and their family members. Assistance consists of assessments,
crisis intervention and short-term counseling focused on problem
identification, community referral and supervisory consultation on
matters relating to substance abuse, financial, emotional, job and
family issues.
