  REGISTRATION: 2015 SHAMROCK SHUFFLE 5K/10K

The Davidson Fitness Center is hosting the 2015 Fort Leonard Wood Shamrock Shuffle 5K/10K on March 14. Cost is $20 for advance registration; ending March 11 at 9:00 pm, and $30 the day of. Register at Davidson Fitness Center or online at www.fortleonardwoodmwr.com Registered participants will receive a green T-shirt. This is a fun and exciting way to get involved in some physical activity. Awards for overall male and female finisher as well as all age group winners. Early race bib and t-shirt pickup will take place on Friday, 13 March from 4-8 pm for those who pre-register.   PINEY VALLEY ANNUAL GOLF COURSE DRIVE

Piney Valley Golf Course is hosting their Annual Golf Course Drive. Interested patrons can come out and sign up and pay for an annual green fees in advance and receive a free driving range pass ($50 value) as well as all 8 reciprocal course cards and be entered into a drawing for a FREE annual green fee.   COMMANDER'S CUP COMBATIVES

Fort Leonard Wood Sports Department is offering a Commander’s Cup Combatives Tournament, Single Elimination at Davidson Fitness Center. The Combatives Tournament is open to Active Duty Military ALL branches of Service, Unit affiliation is necessary. Combatives is a functional, mixed martial art form combining Brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing, clinch hitting, takedowns and ground-fighting techniques. The fighters will compete in several weight classes. The tournament will be ruled and upheld by the United States Army Combatives Competition Rules & Regulations.within a graduated set of rules, game time is forfeit time. Winners will represent Fort Leonard Wood at the Fort Campbell Invitational. Combatives certification is not a requirement to compete.   REGISTRATION: TASTE OF THE ARTS GOES WILD (April 9)
Register for a wild evening of Artwork from local artists showcasing a variety of mediums and age categories from the Fort Leonard Wood community. The cost is only $5 per entry for adults and FREE for children K-4, 5-8, and 9-12 grade. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 artists in each age category. The Art Show will be held April 9th at Piney Valley Golf Course from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and there is no cost to view the art work. Enjoy beverage/food tastings/demonstrations and music provided by 399th Army Jazz Band and children of the SKIES program. Judging will take place prior to the event.  All art work entered must be originals and within the last year.  Art work must be dropped off at the MWR Frame Shop by April 2nd, categories are; Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Photography (w/ 3 categories) and Motley.   COMBATIVE TOURNAMENT
The MSCoE and Fort Leonard Wood (FLW) host a Post-level Combatives Tournament in order to (IOT) foster unit level esprit de corps and the warrior ethos. 04-06MAR15 at the Davidson Fitness Center (DFC).

Family & MWR will be hosting Bunco beginning 7:00 pm at the Pershing Community Center. Join in on this fun dice game and win great prizes. Prizes will be awarded for the most wins and most losses. Davidson Fitness Center invites you to come out and bend some bars as we host our Fort Leonard Wood Spring Weightlifting Classic. Competitors are separated by age and weight classes; rules mirror USA Weightlifting. Open to the public 16 years of age and older. The Lake of the Ozarks Recreation Area (LORA) will be hosting their annual Bass Tournament starting at 7:00 am (or first safelight), weigh-in is at 3:00 pm. Entry fee per boat is $40 and an optional $10 fee for Big Bass. There must be at least one CAC card holder per boat. Stop by the Outdoor Adventure Center or LORA for entry forms/rules.   CONCEALED CARRY WEAPONS CLASS
The Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC) is hosting Concealed Carry Weapons Class; the first step in acquiring a Missouri CCW endorsement including weapons qualification on the range. Class is 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Cost is $15 to register, $65 day of class. Each student must bring a photo ID, Eye & Hearing Protection, and either a Semi-automatic handgun or revolver (Plus 40 rounds of ammo), lunch money or food. Handgun must be in good working condition. Class is open to the public 21 yrs. and older. Interested patrons must be registered the day prior to each class at the Outdoor Adventure Center located in Bldg. 2290 FLW K Road. For more information call 573-596-4223.  Individuals bringing a privately owned weapon onto the installation for authorized activities such as hunting, dog training activities or marksmanship events, are required to register weapons. Privately owned weapons can be registered between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Main Gate Visitor Control Center, Building 100. CYS Services Youth Sports and Fitness Coach Assisted Machine Pitch, Baseball, Softball and T-ball program begins May 11. Cost is $45 per participant, includes uniform and trophy. Youth must have a current physical, good through the end of the season, turned in with registration. Child must be registered with the CYS Services. Registration will take place at the Parent Central Services office located inside Bldg. 470, Rm. 1126, office hours are 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. Practice begins May 11 / Season runs from May 11 – July 11.   GREAT SPRING CLEANING MWR YARD SALE: REGISTRATION
REGISTRATION is OPEN for the MWR Spring Yard Sale: Whether you are getting rid of old treasures or looking for a bargain, you can do both at the Fort Leonard Wood Great Spring Cleaning Yard Sale! Sale will take place on May 2 from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Baker Theater auxiliary parking lot. Cost is $15 if registered by May 1 at 3:00 pm / $20 day of, and includes double length parking lot size space and lots of advertising. Tables are available for $5 each and must be reserved in advance. Register online or at the Family & MWR Installation Wide Events Office, building 1000, suite 167 located on E. 19th Street. Yard sale is open to the public, sellers and buyers. Fort Leonard Wood Thrift Shop will be on site to collect donations until 12:00 pm.
