Child Development Center  (CDC)

Monday-Friday 5:30am-5:30pm

The CDC is a nationally accredited childcare option for working parents wanting peer social interaction for their children. Curriculum is based on the individual interests and development level of each child. The CDC offers the following programs:

Full Day Program: Is available Monday thru Friday 0530 - 1730. The full day program provides care for children six weeks up to kindergarten who require care five to 12 hours per day on a regular basis. Fees are based on total family income. 

Strong Beginnings Pre-K Program: Is available Monday thru Friday 0830 - 1130 for children who turn five by July 31.

Part Day Preschool Program: The part day preschool program is designed for children ages three to five.  Children attend three hours, three days per week. The Part day preschool program operates from September through May. Part day preschool takes a winter break during the Christmas holiday season.

Hourly Care:  Is offered Monday thru Friday from 0800-1700. The hourly care program is designed as a short-term childcare option for parents with short term or irregular needs.  Reservations for hourly care may be made up to, but not more than, 30 days in advance.  Although some drop-in spaces may be available daily, advance reservations are highly recommended. Spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis. Parents who need to cancel their reservations must do so at least one hour prior to the reserved time. 

Orientation: All parents must attend an orientation prior to attending any program at the CDC. Orientation dates and times vary for each program at the CDC. Parent Central Services will schedule an appointment at the time of registration.


School Age Services (SAS)

SAS is a nationally accredited program that fosters social interaction, personal growth, recreational skills, and educational opportunities for children from kindergarten through fifth grade while they are not in school. The framework for this program focuses on four service areas: Life skills (citizenship and leadership opportunities), Arts (Recreation and Leisure), Mentoring (intervention and education support services), and Activities (sports, fitness, and health). Youth Services (YS)

YS provides a wide variety of programs. The programs vary slightly each year, but most offer all basic sports, camps, special events, and field/study trips. Depending upon the program, they are available to youth in 6th-12th grade. There are also a variety of recreation programs for middle and high school youth, many at no cost. Please see the Program Activities section for more information. All teens participating in YS programs must be registered through the Parent Central Services.

Middle School Program: An afternoon program that offers a variety of activities for youth enrolled in school from sixth grade through middle school. This program is offered at Pippin Youth Center and is free of charge.

Teen Program: A positive program for teenagers, 13 through 18 years of age, providing teens with a place to “hang out” and socialize with youth their own age. The teen program is located at the Pippin Youth Center and is free of charge. Please check with YS to find out how our program is best suited to fit the needs of your child.

Orientation: All parents must attend an orientation prior to attending YS. Please call the Parent Central Services for more information on scheduling an orientation.


Family Child Care (FCC)

FCC providers are trained, certified and monitored by the Army Child, Youth & School Services Division. Providers must complete background clearances and pre-screening before opening. They also attend a comprehensive training program which continues as long as they provide child care. More.....
