Newcomer's Orientation

 
 

Newcomers Orientation is held at the Pershing Community Center (Bldg 4109 Piney Hills Dr (573) 596-0753) every 3rd Tuesday of the month (December 1st Tuesday only) at 8:30am to 12:30pm.  Newcomers is designed for newly arrived Military personal, their spouses and new civilian personnel.

Newcomers is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Fort Leonard Wood and the surrounding communities.  Along with several short briefs and a film about Fort Leonard Wood there are numerous displays to provide information about activities and agencies on and off post. FREE Child Care is available (See below).  A bus tour of Fort Leonard Wood is offered upon request. (The bus tour is optional)

FREE Child Care is offered for Newcomers Orientation at the Child Development Center (CDC) but space is limited so make your reservations early. Child Care reservations may be made up to 30 days in advance of the scheduled orientation by calling the Child Development Center (CDC) at 596-0197/0210. Your child must be registered to utilize the CDC. To register your child(ren), contact parent Central Services (PCS) at 596-0238, Building 470, Room 1126. A current shot record must be presented at the time of registration. Attendees at the orientation will recieve a child care voucher at the ACS table to covcer the cost of child care.
