Piney Valley Golf Course Pay Day Scrambles provide an opportunity for soldiers, civilians, and family members to participate in a morale building and recreational golfing event. The payday golf scramble is designed to be a social, rather than a competitive event, and to further encourage participation in the game of golf. - When: Dates Below

Rules For Commander's Golf Scramble 1. You MUST pay as a TEAM 3 days PRIOR to Event. Teams will not be registered until fee is paid in full. 2. A shotgun start will be used. Pre-assigned starting holes will be annotated on scorecards. 3. United States Golf Association rules apply, except where modified by local rules.Local rules apply with the following exception: Balls played anywhere on the course may be lifted without penalty and placed within 6 inches, but not nearer, the hole. 4. Play in Turn. Each team player will stroke in turn on each shot. After the best shot (best ball) has been determined by the team captain, each player will play the next shot in order from the location of the best ball. 5. Drives. The team is required to use the best drive on every hole. 6. If a ball is inside the leather of a standard putter, it is a “gimmie”. 7. Designated tees are as follows: a. Men will play from the white tees. b. Women will play from the red tees. 8. Consecutive Strokes. If a player makes two consecutive strokes prior to the remaining players making their strokes, those strokes will count against the team score. 9. Team Composition. All teams will consist of four players. Threesomes will be considered on a case-by-case basis, but will not receive additional strokes in the absence of a player. Threesomes will be required to pay a team price of $140. 10. Questions concerning these rules may be clarified by the tournament director prior to the scramble. |
