Benefits of Taekwondo:
Fitness - As you progress in Taekwondo, you will learn to coordinate speed and power, and develop concentration to focus all of your body's strength into a small, hard striking surface like the edge of the hand or the heel of the foot.
Confidence - As you accomplish new goals through Taekwondo, your confidence level increases. Taekwondo instills a sense of discipline and self confidence that can carry over to all aspects of your life.
Self-Defense - When the speed and power developed through Taekwondo is used in a self-defense situation against the vulnerable parts of an attacker's body, the results can be incredible.

Tiny Tigers (4-5 years) - The Tiny Tiger program was developed specifically for preschool children ages 4 through 6. This program offers children a strong foundation in life skills and motor skills to enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. All classes are taught using the most safe, fun, and exciting instruction methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with the Karate 4 Kids program, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system.
Taekwondo (6 years and up) -There are many reasons for children to become involved in the martial arts. Instruction is offered based on traditional Taekwondo designed specifically for ages from 5 and up. Students are trained to the best of their ability. Some students are already in shape when they begin, others may be overweight, under-toned or simply ready to get back into the workout habit. Almost every student has limited flexibility when they begin and can't believe they will ever be able to kick so high or bend so low.
Black Belt Club - The Black Belt Club is open to all students regardless of rank or age, and represents our "success through goal setting" philosophy. Members are all in pursuit of achieving their Black Belt. Students must be aware of their goal if they are going to meet their objective with desire and conviction. The Black Belt Club patch is worn on the left sleeve of the uniform with a colored belt with a black stripe down the center to remind them of their goal each time they put on their uniform. The Black Belt Club is much more than just a patch. Members are welcome to participate in special Black Belt Club workouts, classes, and seminars at ATA FMAC.
The exciting workouts offer training in weapons, sparring, alternative martial arts skills, and self defense.
A one-time fee of $669.00 includes gear, uniform, weapons, and the first black belt.
Classes are held every Monday and Wednesday, and are available to youth 4-18 years. Students may participate in one class per week for $35.00 a month or two classes per week for $65.00. Child, Youth & School Services will only collect monthly fees associated with enrollment in the program. Starter kit, which includes instructional video, uniform, belts and patches, must be purchased from the instructor for $75.00. Tee shirts are available for $15.00 one or $25.00 for two. Testing occurs every eight weeks, and costs $60.00 each for up to two children and $5.00 for each additional family member.
