Davidson Fitness Center:

The Sports Branch (596-4359/7444) located in the Davidson Fitness Center coordinates a wide range of sports and fitness activities for the installation. In addition to overseeing numerous intramural sports programs, the Sports Branch hosts the annual, National Softball Association tournaments, and Commander's Cup tournaments; 11 softball fields, 7 soccer fields, 6 tennis courts, 2 Sports Complexes with 3 Soft Ball Fields and batting cages, flag football fields, youth athletic fields, and 400-meter all weather track highlight the excellent outdoor sports facilities available to post community members. During summer months, the sports staff oversees the operation of an Olympic-sized outdoor pool (with a 50-foot water slide) on Constitution Avenue. Pool parties, swimming lessons and lifeguard training are available. The Davidson Fitness Center is a state of the art facility that provides fitness equipment and programs for the entire family. The 64,000 square foot facility has basketball, racquetball and volleyball courts; an indoor 25-meter swimming pool; an elevated indoor running track; Nautilus and free weights, cardiovascular equipment; six locker rooms and equipment check-out. Group fitness classes are offered six days a week at a variety of times. The Personal Trainer Program is available to provide one-on-one consultation and guidance. Authorized patrons can purchase recreational Swim passes. Call 596-4359/7443 for more information.

Child Care:

Davidson Fitness Center now offers "Insight Child Care" - a play area to entertain your child while you exercise - (no attendant) child MUST be in the parent/guardian's line of sight at all times. DFC is not responsible for the care of the children at the center, they MUST be with parent or guardian.

Located in the Specker Barracks complex, this 17,000 sq. ft. premier weight-training facility has everything a serious athlete needs. Our 9,000 sq. ft. Nautilus designed Weight Room is full of an endless supply of Weight Machines, Free Weights and Functional Fitness equipment. 

Specker’s 2,000 sq. ft. Cardio Room has 11, 48” LCD televisions along with a variety of Cardiovascular Equipment. Our Spin Room consists of 25 Spin Bikes, hosting an average of seven spin classes a week. The Yoga Room has newly installed MMA matting along with several options of aerobic/core equipment. We also have a Racquetball Court. 

Don’t forget to check out some gear from our Issue Room/Front Office. We also offer Equipment Orientation and Certified Personal Training. Once you’re done with your work out, relax in our co-ed sauna. Feel free to use one of our locker rooms 2 male/1 female, and if you’d rather keep your belongings here for an extended time, we offer locker rentals.

Equipment Checkout – TRX Suspension Training System, Dip Belts, Weight Training Belts, Medicine Balls, Jump Ropes, Resistance Bands, Safety Collars, Racquetball Equipment, etc.

A variety of our group fitness classes are offered monthly at various times to fit your fitness level and your busy schedule.

Personal Trainer Program

What is a Personal Trainer? A certified personal trainer is a fitness professional qualified to design individualized exercise programs. A qualified trainer understands principles of anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and exercise. Because of their experience with exercise and positive reinforcement, trainers often make the difference in a successful fitness program. 

Davidson Fitness Center's Personal Trainer: The Davidson Fitness Center offers an ACE Certified Personal Trainer who has many years experience training others and motivating them toward realizing their goals.  For more information stop by the Davidson Fitness Center or call 596-7443/4359.  


$15 Consultation
$30 per hour Group Rate
$50/each (max of 2 clients per session)

What Do I Need To Start? To begin your program, all you need is the desire to improve your physical condition and well-being.You need not be familiar with exercises, exercise equipment, or exercise technique. An effective program can be simple and almost equipment free. Should you and your trainer elect to use equipment, your trainer will help you with its selection and use.Whether you are a beginner interested in toning up or an athlete who wants to improve your sport, your trainer will work with you and guide you at your level.Always feel free to ask your trainer any questions related to the program or regarding health issues. Your Trainer will gladly answer your questions or refer you to someone who can. Your Fitness is our business.

Intramural Sports

The Sports Branch oversees a variety of intramural sports programs. These include, but are not limited to, softball, flag football, basketball and volleyball. Contact the fitness center at 596-7444 for more information on intramural programs available.

Sports Fields

If you would like to use one of the many sports fields on post, you can make reservations at the fitness center. There are numerous softball, soccer, football and multi-use fields, over one dozen tennis courts and a 400 meter all-weather track.
