1-18 April BASEBALL/SOFTBALL REGISTRATION PRACTICE BEGINS: 5 May 2008 SEASON DATES: 28 May to 11 July 2008
The Child and Youth Services (CYS) Youth Sports and Fitness (YS&F) Baseball/Softball Program is open to youth who will be ages 4-5 T-Ball, ages 6-7 Coach-Pitch and 3rd through 12th grades. The cost is $40.00 per participant with a 10% discount given for the second child. Army Family Covenant discounts will apply for children/youth of eligible Service Members. A current sports physical, that will remain current throughout the season, is required. If you register after the deadline date, you MAY NOT receive your requested T-Shirt size as these items will have already been ordered. There will be a maximum number of players per team will be 15. At the end of the registration period, or when teams are filled, a waiting list will be started and registrants will be placed on teams in order of their registration date. Registration with CYS is required to participate in the YS&F Program. You may register for the YS&F Program, or any other CYS Program, at the CYS Central Enrollment Registry, Building 470, Room 1111. BASEBALL/SOFTBALL RULES ELIGIBILITY: Youth between the ages of 4-7 and 3rd through 8th grades who meet the requirements of AR 608-10 are eligible to participate. AGE DIVISIONS: T-Ball Division: Children ages 4 to5 are eligible to participate in this division. Coach Pitch Division: Children ages 6 to7 are eligible to participate in this division. BOYS (Baseball) DIVISIONS: MINOR: Children in grades 3rd and 4th are eligible to participate in this division. MUSTANG: Children in grades 5th and 6th are eligible to participate in this division. PINTO: Children in grades 7th and 8th are eligible to participate in this division. GIRLS (Softball) DIVISIONS PETITE: Children in grades 3rd and 4th are eligible to participate in this division. CHIC: Children in grades 5th and 6th are eligible to participate in this division. DEBUNTE: Children in grades 7th and 8th are eligible to participate in this division. REQUIREMENTS: Players must be enrolled and attending an elementary, intermediate, high school, or home school. No player may participate in this and a high school league concurrently. Parents may request a waiver for their child to participate in the next upper division if the child meets all other eligibility requirements. All teams will be selected using the Blind Draft System. Parents may request a waiver for their sibling to be placed on the same team (within that age division), if requested at the time of registration.
